But When God... | Galatians 1:13-17
In Galatians 1:13–17, we examine the transformation of the apostle Paul and the sovereign grace of God that changed a persecutor of the church into a faithful preacher of the gospel. Paul reminds the Galatian believers of his former life in Judaism—his relentless persecution of Christians, his zeal for religious traditions, and his remarkable advancement among his peers—to demonstrate that neither his conversion nor the gospel he preached originated from man. His life was transformed entirely by God's grace and revelation of Jesus Christ.
This message highlights the sovereignty of God in salvation, showing that God alone sets apart, calls, saves, and commissions His people according to His perfect purpose. It reminds us that our salvation is never the result of our works, background, or achievements, but solely of God's mercy and grace. No past is beyond God's redeeming power, no sinner is outside His ability to save, and our identity must rest in Christ alone.

He holds a BA in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Asia & The Pacific, pursued a Master of Divinity at Grace School of Theology, and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary, with further studies in Biblical Studies and Advanced Biblical Counseling at The Expositors Academy.
